Cabin Weekend.

This weekend, K and I headed up to the cabin for a relaxing fall weekend. We hadn't been back since the wedding and I was so excited to get to Hack. As we drove closer and closer, I kept thinking how special it is that we can always return to the place our marriage began. I can't wait to take a family photo each year in the same place we took our wedding photos. It literally makes me giddy.

On the way, I saw my two favorite horses and stopped at McDonalds Meats to pick up a snack for my guy.

Then the moon came out. Seriously, this picture doesn't do it justice at all but as the sun set, this big ol' harvest moon appeared in the sky. We saw it twice during the weekend. It was amazing.

Here are just a few photos from the weekend:

Pumpkin Poke Cake - recipe coming soon!

Remember this game?!

Yes, that white stuff is snow. October snow. Sigh.

Another fabulous weekend up north!

Alex

Watercolor Map

I'm having a watercolor moment lately.  I'm loving the softness and blended colors watercolors have. I have yet to tackle making one myself but luckily there is this great website that creates watercolor maps.

Just enter in a location and it automatically generates a watercolor version of the mapped location.  You can also choose the terrain or toner options if you desire.

Above is the Mighty Birch - I'd love to get one of these framed. You can always update your computer background too! Check it out here.

Alex

Happy October!

September was a dream. K and I were married this past weekend on Mighty Birch. It was absolutely stunning and exactly what we wanted for our wedding. Stay tuned for details.

We are ready to embrace autumn now. The leaves are changing, the air is getting crisper, pumpkins and mums are out. I'm giving our house a fall overhaul tonight after work. Let the Autumn Adventures begin!

xoxo,
Alex
