If you've never been to McDonald's Meats, drop what you are doing, get in your car, and head north on 94. Take the Clearwater exit, cross the Mississippi, pass the corn fields and Amish horses (trust me), and you will arrive at The Jerky Stop.
Inside, the small shop is packed full of all sorts of meats.
But their jerky is the frosting on the cupcake.
I mean, it's award-winning jerky.
Lots of awards.
The lovely store even features a Bambi, the perfect talisman for heading up to the north country.
We grabbed Teriyaki Beef Jerky and BBQ Flavored Smoke Dried Pork Strips for the rest of our road trip. Delicious!
Next time you are heading north to lake country, make sure you stop at McDonald's and grab some jerky for the trip!
